If you don't mind used, you can probably save a lot of money and still get a decent one by looking for one on r/appleswap or maybe r/hardwareswap.
Sadly you'll also likely be paying a lot for it. If you do manage to find a refurb, it'll be worth it because you can still purchase AppleCare for it the same as if it was new.
