The problem we are having is that any computer using NxFilter for DNS (192.168.10.9) can not ping or find 192.168.10.10 by NAME. I have some computers reserve 192.168.10.10 as the DNS to bypass NxFilter and all computers that should be web filtered use DNS 192.168.10.9. I have XAMPP installed on 192.168.10.10 as well as Openfire for our XMPP/Jabber network IM on 192.168.10.10. I have NxFilter installed on our Windows DC server and I have 2 LAN connections on the server.
I installed NxFilter about a month ago and I have been very impressed with it. We starting with using a watchguard firebox for our web filtering for all of our computer stations but it became to expensive for us to continue. Sorry I didn't really know what to put in the subject line.
